Research:

• Researched on what company and we would like to use. -Takenaka corporation 
• First I searched on what tourist attractions, mainly museums in Singapore, has been recently renovated. Upon searching, I found out the National Museum of Singapore has been recently renovated.
• I then find out what company/companies was in charge and has done the renovation of the museum, which is Takenaka Corporation.
• Also found out that Takenaka Corporation is all about sustainable engineering, which makes them the best suited company for our pitch/report.  
• Researched more on the background of the company (eg. what materials do they use, what projects have they done)
• Searched on their main website, where they stated the company used Moen-wood and 3D-resin materials in their constructions.
• They have done many constructions throughout the world and their works are fairly large scale such as University campus, Airports, and Hotels. 
• Examples of the more notable projects done is Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 4, Tokyo University Shizouka Kusanagi campus and Panasonic Stadium Suita. 
• Used ChatGPT to compare the different materials used by the company (moen-wood and 3D-resin) and the material (hempcrete) that we would like to propose to the company to use. 
• First searched on what are the bio-based materials available in the civil engineering world that are sustainable and safe for humans and picked out Hempcrete.
• Used ChatGPT to find out about the benefits of Hempcrete, Moen-wood and 3D-resin. Also used it to compare the advantaged and disadvantages between these 3 materials. 
• Come up with the ideal - gap - goal in the activities list.

• Started the setup of the document of the technical report. 
• Completed on the executive summary and the backgrounds. (point 1 of the report).
• Background

• Problem statement
• Purpose statement.
• Did some other points as well such as point (proposed solution)
• Hempcrete
• What is hempcrete
• What materials are used in construction now?
• How is hempcrete used in the industry?

Research:

• Did more extended research on the points stated above in the date 28/02/2025
• Further research on the company using their official website
• Used ChatGPT to further research on what are the advantages and disadvantages of Hempcrete, Moen-wood, and 3D-resin.
• New research on what other materials other than hempcrete is sustainable and safe for humans as we feel like hempcrete being the only solution is not so ideal.
• Found out on other two materials which is: Bamboo and Cross Laminated Timber (CLT).
• Continued to find out more on these two materials and find out more of their advantages & disadvantages using ChatGPT.

Preparation of mock presentation:

• Discussed with my team how we are going to split the presentation points. 
• Start to prepare my own part own part of the speech.

Presentation:

• Prepare for presentation by doing slides.
• Each person is responsible for their own slides. - Use information on report and import it to the slides.
• Additional information was done by research.
• Based on discussion, we searched extra on 3 other sustainable materials that is being used now, the advantages and the disadvantages. 
• Bamboo
• Ferrock
• CLT 
• I am in charge of conclusion, so my part is basically a summary of my teammate's information.

• Have zoom meeting with Prof. Brad on our report. 
• Asked question and got feedbacks
• eg. our citations are all over the place
• need to make an overview summary for every part
• Need to plan the methodology

Research:

• Went to an event and found a company that was able to give an impromptu insight of sustainable materials for our Methodology.
• Company is Obayashi, another construction company from Japan, worked/partner with Takenaka Corporation before.
• Asked them a few questions such as: Have you used sustainable materials before?
